THE VAST OF NIGHT just jumped onto my best of list. Amazing film that does a lot with a very little. Watch it.

May be time to take a long term break from Twitter and Facebook. Between political season, Covid and the uncertainty around schools opening (I teach) I’m finding myself just doom scrolling. Thankfully, MicroBlog is a nice respite from the crazy. I do need my social media fix. 😁

Saturday night means classic horror in the Brady house. Tonight’s feature- The Werewolf of London.

It’s hockey night in New England. #Bruins vs Blue Jackets 🏒

8 in the morning and it’s already real feel 90?! Today’s run is going to be a tough one.

What do you do when you have 5 client projects to work on this week? You get a head start on Sunday afternoon. At least there is day baseball on in the background to help it still feel like the weekend.

“Society is well governed when its people obey the magistrates, and the magistrates obey the law.” ~ Solon . #HistoryRepeats.

Swordfish on the grill, traditional Brazilian music from a party down the street, drink in hand. Feeling quite content.

Day baseball, PGA Saturday and tonight is the last edition of Fight Island. This past week has been professionally very busy so it feels good to have an all sports day.

⚾ Red Sox opening day! Excited but at the same time, a 60 game season is going to fly by.

Is it wrong that I am a little excited that Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. in an 8 round exhibition match is actually going to happen?

Thoughts on Netflix

📺 I heard someone recently bemoaning the fact that Netflix tends to end it’s shows, even the critically acclaimed ones, after just 3-4 seasons. The reason is of course entwined with their business model. Shinny new things bring in subscribers more than season 6 of a show.

However, I disagree with the idea that this is also bad for the art of television. I am hard pressed to remember many shows that I felt were better in their 5th season. I think 3 seasons is probably the sweet spot as far as story telling goes. I’d much prefer 10 exciting and original 3 season shows to 5 bloated shows that just keep chruning out episodes derivative of their own past. Am I wrong?

First live ⚾ baseball on tonight. Red Sox vs Blue Jays. #finally

Spent some time on the deck this afternoon putting some serious thought into how I want to teach this fall.

There is only ever one choice. Forward.

Blackened chicken flat bread pizza + whiskey sours + Long Channey’ WOLFMAN = a perfect Saturday night

Multitasking is a myth. Simplify to amplify.

Something I have to continually remind myself of.

☀️ Heat index is going to be around 100 for the next few days. That means early mornings at the park to workout. Unfortunately I’m really bad at early these days.

My favorite tee shirt is feeling it’s years. Need to find a new one of these.

Woke up to pouring rain. I guess that’s nature’s way of telling me I need an off day. No morning run for me.

So…going to the dentist in the middle of a pandemic is weirdly stressful. All’s well that ends well though.

Another shot from today’s trip. Wife and son in the shops brig!

Just signed up for a MB hosted site. I’ve been cross-posting from a Wordpress site, but I like the frictionless posting right from an app like Gluon. Hopefully I’ll figure out how to use my own domain name if I end up sticking with this option. (Not super techie)
